CPE Software Package Version 3.15
This zipped file contains the BE application (V3_15STXUpdater.exe) required to upload the software via an IP connection to the CPE (Controller Plus Exciter) board in the STX GEN II, STXe 60, STXe500 and/or the STX-10 HP. Note: The updater is a windows program that will program the full image into the CPE board. This updater actually has a zip file internal to the exe that is extracted at run time; the version numbers are pulled out of the zip file and displayed on the dialog page. When running the program, you can be sure that the files to be programmed are the ones displayed on the dialog page.
This software package contains the full load for the various components as follows:

4. V3.15 R.4258 for the Front Panel
5. V3.15 4258 for the Power Amplifier Controller

8. V3.15 4248 for the PA Module Controller
9. V3.15 4258 for the Combiner
10. V3.15 4258 for the VPe Gateway
Please be sure to unzip the downloaded file into one directory. Release notes and instructions are included.
The use of the Updater is straight forward - put the CPE into Update mode (standby mode, enable update), start the Updater, type the IP address of the CPE board and click the "Update STX" box. There is a progress bar that shows the update progress. If the update fails for any reason, a dialog box will appear stating such. If the update is successful, a dialog box will pop up stating that as well
NOTE: This software will work with all STX-10 HP, STXe 60 and STXe 500 exciters/transmitters in both an FM Only or an HD mode of operation. It will also work with STX 1KW GEN II, STX 2KW GEN II, STX 3KW GEN II, and STX 5KW GEN II transmitters (equipped with the 919-4050-101 PA boards) shipped from the factory after November 1, 2013 in both an FM Only or an HD mode of operation.
It will NOT work with STX 1KW GEN II, STX 2KW GEN II, STX3KW GEN II, and STX 5KW GEN II transmitters (equipped with the 919-4050-100 PA boards) shipped from the factory prior to November 1, 2013. If this software is installed in a STX transmitter with the 919-4050-100 PA board, an inoperable PA 1 COMM FAULT will be present and the system will not transmit. In that case, CPE Software Package Version 1.9 will need to be re-installed.
