The ETX Series transmitters have Static RDS enabled as a standard feature.

While there are several settings available to tweak, here are the settings to get you up and running quickly in the USA.


  1.  Confirm your Station PI Code. https://picodes.nrscstandards.org/
    1. Select the correct Full-Service or translator station link
    2. Record the Active PI Code
  2.  From the ETX Web UI, navigate to RDS > Basic Services
  3.  You will be looking to make appropriate settings for the Code designationto match your unique PI Code.
    1. Disregard the verbiage in the drop down menus for Country Group - PI and Coverage Area.  What you need to do is count down from the top of each list.
    2. Starting with Country Group - PI, starting at 1 count down from the top and select the entry that corresponds to the first digit of your PI Code.  For example, if your PI Code 75EF, select the 7th entry in the drop down list.
    3. Next, select the Country Area drop down list.  Starting with 0, select the entry that corresponds to the second digit of your PI Code. For example, if your PI Code 75EF, select the 6th entry in the drop down list. 
    4. Use the up and down arrows in the Ref field until the Code designation matches your unique PI Code (valid entries range from 0 to 255).
  4.  You may now select the appropriate M/S and PTY codes for your programming.  Enter up to 8 characters for your PS Code and up to 64 characters for your RT Code.
  5. Click Apply.
  6. You may also need to adjust the RDS Carrier setting . Exciter & Audio > Settings > FM Output Carrier.
    1. Lowering this value will increase your coverage range.  Valid range is -20dB to-45dB.
    2. Click Apply
